A Camping We Will Go!

This summer went only got to go camping one time, but it was so fun and can't wait to do it again. We decided to go for 3 days and 3 nights. The longest we have been camping as a family. It worked out that our good friends the Gough's had those days off work, so we all went together. We went to Pine Lake. It is just outside of Bryce Canyon. We have never been there before, but we LOVED it. The camping spaces were huge. We had so much space for the kids to run and roam, and we were by a stream so it was just awesome.

Campfire was our favorite part of the day. We brought smores to do for one night, our friends brought smores for every night, so we ate A LOT of smores. They were so good. Chocolate chip cookie, chocolate, marshmallows, cookie. That is the only way I can eat smores now. The funny thing with going with two families that have done much camping on our own, we both brought enough food for everyone, plus some. We did not go hungry and we brought back half our food.

We went fishing everyday. The boys loved it, but got bored fast.

Drew fishing.

Jared fishing.

Caleb and Tanner walking to the car for a snack.

Caleb's favorite part of fishing. The Cheetos!

This picture doesn't do it justice, but Jared put on his own sunblock and didn't spread evenly.

Drew LOVED carving with his pocket knife.

Jared showing Drew how it is done.

Caleb helping with clean up.

The boys favorite. Roasting marshmellows.

Doesn't that look so good?

It is a wonder that our kids slept at night with all the sugar.

Caleb's favorite part. The chocolate.

The last full day we were there it rained ALL day long, hard. We(the adults) wanted to play games and we only had one small canopy, so we had the kids hang out in the tent and watch movies. It made for a messy tent. Hope to not do that again.

The cute boys on the last day of camp.

Keeping them self entertained while we packed up.

The car ride home. Way excited for a shower.

Caleb playing on the way home. He would put on the glasses and say "Whaaaaaat?"

I can visualize all the camping trips you have yet to experience. HOW FUN!!! Do you think you'll keep going back to the same place or try lots of different camping areas?
