Lets Go Fly A Kite!

Here in St. George we have had this amazing reading program. It is called the Kite Festival. Starting in January until mid April the kids have to read a certain amount of time. In the past I haven't really wanted to do it. I thought they would be cheap kites and a ton of people. This year is the first year the kids really wanted to go, so we went.

The boys turned in their papers and got their kites. I was very impressed with the quality of the kites. There was a lot of people so it did make kite flying hard, but the boys still had fun. There were booths of food and other stuff and big slides.

Here is Jared with the kite he earned.

Drew with the kite he earned.

I was very impressed how well run it was. They hold it at a senior community golf course. The residents all volunteer. They bus you in and out so you don't have to walk very much. We can't wait until next year.

Wow - that's great. Our kids always read x amount of hours to earn a ticket to 6 flags - then I had to buy a ticket to take them...but we had so much fun! We usually took a few cousins with us!
