Drew, the basketball star

This was Drew's first year of basketball. This year they started something new in our city. In the past they are able to start basketball when they are in third grade. This year they started Iddy Biddy League. This is were K-2nd get to play. It was great. For the few "games", they had four stations and had the kids learning different things about basketball. For the last 1/2 of the season they did drills the 1st half hour and a game the second half. It is a great way to get the kids to learn how to play the game.

Drew is always a ham when it comes to the camera.

One of Drew's favorite things to do was jump up and touch the rim. They attached some backboard thing onto the hoop, so the kids hoop was shorter. Drew loved it because he could touch the rim.

The thing I love the most about city league is that every child gets a trophy. Drew was so excited and proud.
